My pal of has just had her fiancé cheat and leave her. She was with him 8yrs & split her time between us. She stood me up once or twice cos of his family, she never visited me in Uni miles away. She should have got her dad to bring her. I rang her when my pals were busy and got angry when she couldnt make it. She once said ‘Not my fault I’m in a relationship and your not.’

When I found out her fiancé had cheated, she rang me crying. I said ‘I didn’t like him anyway; don’t talk about him’ She was devastated cos I’d never allow her to talk of it. I told her I’m getting married after 2 months dating. My guy & I had a New Years party & none of my pals came so I asked her. She said she couldn’t cos meeting her brother’s fiancé for first time. I shouted ‘I’m pissed off with you, you’re meant to be my pal.’ She said it was 1st yr without her fiancé & didn’t want to upset my night by being unhappy so I shouted ‘have some bloody funs for once!’ Was fed up that I was only girl so I met her for coffee and said “you are not my maid of honor any more cos I haven’t seen you much” I asked my ex room mate of 1 year to do it instead. My pal said she wanted to help me with wedding etc but I said no. It was her 1st Birthday without him; she wanted to go out but Im not leaving my guy so I invited her up. I explained ‘You don’t understand that when you’re in a relationship, you want to be them all the time.’ She just looked at me and said ‘I know, I was engaged 8yrs and looked very confused at me.’ So I said ‘wait until you’re in a relationship & then you’d understand.

My fiancé told her “we have booked our honeymoon and told her “he would NEVER cheat on me cos I’m beautiful, and we’ll be together 4ever.” I told her all about the wedding and what the bridesmaids are wearing and my maid of honor – the beautiful dress I got her. Then at 10:30 I said “bedtime, did you have a nice birthday? When we got up in morning, she had gone leaving a note saying ‘thanks for a lovely birthday.’ My hen night, she wanted to share a cab on way home but my guy was with us so I said ‘would she mind going alone’. She walked home alone.

I txt her next day saying Guess what, we’re off to grand can aria, see you later. She said it wasn’t nice so I replied ‘Your just a jealous *****, don’t bother coming to the wedding.’ We made it up. I told her I want a baby soon, she said she had a miscarriage n cant have them so my fiancé said – ‘ we wants loads.’
Mum is kicking us out after wedding so I said we need to rent her home cos family house & she is single and can’t have kids so we need it. She can have a nice flat somewhere. My wedding went well, couldn’t speak much cos busy but did see her for 10 mins. Such a wonderful day, my pals stood by me at alters, gathered for photos etc. She kept in background cos bridal party only in pics. Been friends 20yrs – why wont sh help?

I’m writing my wedding vows and I really wanted a nice romantic Pink Floyd lyric to slide in there as my husband to be is a big fan. However, all the lyrics seem to be really depressing to me. He’s lucky. All he has to do is find a lyric from The Carpenters or Abba and he’s set. Can anyone think of anything? I’m really not a fan at all!

But on the website there is absolutely no information on how to order it, or what designer it is from…! There is nothing at all!! I’m desperate! Any ideas are welcome, as I’m going to an important wedding this summer and I’d really love to wear THIS PARTICULAR DRESS!! Help, pleaseee!!

Hello there,
Does anyone out there know where I might find a good source of sample humanist or similar wedding vows on the internet? I have been googling quite a lot, and the only decent website I found humanistofficients.com has all of a sudden disappeared.
We are not having a humanist ceremony, but are allowed to alter the traditional guidelines as we like, now the trouble is I can’t find anything that I like. I am looking for vows that are not too romantic or fairy tale sounding, and something a little more modern.

-Does not need to be humanist, but I relate more to the humanist vows I’ve read in the past than the more traditional vows. Just looking for something a little different.

I’m doing my AS level art exam and my question is about special occasions. I have chosen to do my work about weddings and I was having trouble finding the kind of artists I could use for it. I was hoping to do paintings of different wedding themes if that is any help, I was also hoping to paint scenes with “People” In it, but I was hoping to use mannequin’s instead of people. Anyone any ideas? And I could do with something quite quickly as I have a monster of an art teacher. Thanks.
