I’m getting married in a couple of weeks and I’ve not booked an appointment with a hair dresser as I want to do it myself. My friends and family who are married think I am crazy wanting to do it myself, especially with everything I have to do on my wedding day. The one support I am getting is from one of my bridesmaids who is helping me with some of the work of making things as she did the same in her wedding and I helped her. I just don’t see the point in paying someone to curl my hair and clip it back into an elegant bun when I can easily do it myself.
I have chosen to do a lot of things in the wedding myself such as making the wedding cake, doing my own makeup, making centre pieces, making the favours. My friends and family have tried to convince me not to make the wedding cake but I wanted to make it myself and my fiance wanted to have a bara brith anyway.

I’m a hairdresser and have been asked to do some wedding hair but am unsure on what to charge so any advice would be great.
The bride has very long hair about two inches above her bum.shes not sure what she wants yet all she does know is the she definitely doesn’t want it all down so will prob be half or whole head pin up with curls maybe.

The bridesmaids hair is below shoulder,not sure what she want but some sort of pin up,

Mother of the brides hair is short, think she will have her hair either set, tonged or Vertical roll.

any advice much appreciated.

Red wedding dress but what colour hair?

I am getting married on December the 17th this year,and i am going to wear a red wedding dress,Light red…….but i did have my hair dyed light blonde and thought that it didn’t suit my dress.

So i had my hair done in a mahogany with a tinted red,i have blue eyes and a little pale skin,not to pale.

What colour makeup should i wear? And is the darker hair better?

View please! :)

Does dying hair damage it?

I want to go from a light brown to a dark auburn. How much will this damage my hair?
You could call my hair a virgin; it’s never be dyed before and it’s only been straightened/blow dried on special occassions (like weddings and big parties). I always wear it naturally, which is sort of wavy.
Will going from this colour;

Damage my hair a lot? So much that it won’t feel smooth and soft anymore, or it won’t dry in the same way anymore?
