I made this Double Heart Cake for Bridal Shower. One cake is chocolate, the other one white. I used a 10″ heart shaped cake pan. I cut out a small part of the white cake, so it would look like the 2 hearts are joined. Since the Wedding colors, are Silver, Black, Pale Pink, and a light Sage Green, I used Black Ribbon for the bottom border and also black frosting for the names. The silver is used for the board covering and the small silver double hearts used at each name and on the cupcakes. Roses are Pale Pink and the leaves, light sage green. I imprinted hearts on the frosting on top of cake, after the icing crusted over (crusting takes 30 minutes). I used an embossing rolling tool for sides of cake. The cupcakes are white. Half of them have rasberry filling, other 12 have strawberry filling. An apple corer took the centers out of the cupcakes for the filling area. Fruit jams was used for the filling. The cupcakes are decorated 2 ways, in order to know which ones are filled with the strawbery and the rasberry, The theme for the Wedding is the Double Hearts.
