There is no limit on love or marriage. I say she should have the wedding she always dreamed of with the man she loves.
Not too old. Have fun and enjoy the party. God bless.
hell no! y not, there are some lovely dresses, sophisticated and mature, hope u enjoy!
Shes not to old tell her to go for it.
You are NEVER to old to wear a wedding dress!
if you are getting married then you should wear a wedding dress
how can you be too old ????
nobody is too old to wear a wedding dress there are no rules
if she wants to wear one she should
they’ve been together for a while havn’t they:) thats great!
No she’s not too old to wear a wedding dress, a woman is only as old as she feels. More people are waiting to get married for later in life and it’s a wedding so she should wear a dress and be very proud!
i say she should wear a wedding dress!!! age doesn’t matter, and if she wants one, then by god she should have one.
they’ve been together for 33 years, the woman deserves a medal not just a dress.
if it’s on a beach then maybe not a big fancy “typical” wedding dress. but maybe something a little more simple and beach appropriate, but still white and fancy
Not too old.
No ones too old for the big white dress!
Wish her the best of luck!
HECK NO!!! wear it and be proud!!!! enjoy!!
It depends on your culture, because for some culture people do not care how old the bride and the groom are. As long as they love each other, as a matter of fact, you mention they just renewing. Therefore, it shouldn’t be too old for her to wear a wedding dress.
Rick has it right, Amen!
shes not to old
It’s her wedding. She can wear what she wants! Best wishes to her!
Absolutely not! If anyone is entitled to wear a wedding dress, it is someone renewing their vows! I think if she finds something classic, maybe with some beautiful lace, it could be very lovely, but again, she is entitled to have her special day the way she wants!
i’d have to say that for me it’s a bit freaky to see an old bride in a wedding dress but if she can cope with that then who’s to judge.
Just help her choose a dress with a bit of class.
I think she should go for it, why shouldn’t she have the pleasure of walking down in a beautiful wedding dress… my mother is also getting married in a years time and she will be 45 years old, she is going to have it all, wedding dress, flowers, cake, dancing you name it. Your mother should just go for it and be happy, it’s her day it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks but her and her beloved… Good luck and God bless…
Well wearing a dress is her choice, wearing a white wedding dress is traditionally set aside for women who get married that are still virgins. Since she is your mom, i don’t think she’s a virgin so the white dress would be inappropriate.
You are never to old.
Never too old! I was actually at a bridal show a couple weeks ago and in the fasion show they had a woman (must’ve been around 65 – 70) wearing a gorgeous gown! Big skirt and all. If it’s what she wants then of course she can wear it!!
Wow! No one is too old to wear a wedding dress. Tell her go ahead and have her dream wedding! Have fun!
There is no age limit attached to wearing a wedding dress. I think she should go for it. If she wasn’t able to live out her fantasy of a princess wedding dress, then why not do it now? We only live once, tell your mom to go buy the prettiest dress she can find and have herself a blast in Turkey.
what’s wrong with that? There’s never too old for love.
By using that kind of dress, i think it’s gonna be good for both of your parents. They can have a better events on their memoriam when they were still young.
Hell nah, tell your ma to do it to it! She’s gonna look fab!
No way is she too old. If she doesn’t do it now she might never do it again so go for it. If she is in good shape then she should show it off and embrace her 50 years. 50 is not like what it use to be so I don’t see why she shouldn’t
Course not providing it’s not white.
I think that would be awesome, its her renewal and she can wear what she wants.
Absolutely not! She will never be too old to wear a white wedding dress. It is her day and she should be able to make it whatever she wants it to be. Good for her!
Have fun!
It depends entirely on the style of dress – mutton dressed as lamb is not a good look ever. Maybe not the white merange look but some are lovely.
Hmmmm should your 50yr old mum wear a wedding dress to renew her vows in Turkey
YES yes yes yes yes yes yes yes …..errm did I say YES??
LOL
ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR. If she wants to then she isn’t too old. Congratulations to your parents.
Of course not, any woman should be able to wear a wedding dress, at any age. Especially if she didn’t get to the first time around, who cares what other people think, as long as she’s happy.
NO. She is not too old to wear the dress she deserves to wear. They have been married for a long time and deserve to get the most fabulous dress and tuxedo out there. Tell mom (and dad) Congratulations! Tell them to have a wonderful time with their loved ones and friends. Enjoy the wedding and to dance the night away!
no one ever to old to wear a wedding dress. I`ve seen 60 years old renewing their vows and the bride was wearing a white wedding dress.
Not too old at all but she should keep it simple and elegant.
She should go for it ! ………..and be very proud that she has been married for over 30 years already……It’s really nice to hear of a happy couple
)
Hope she has a fantastic day
Since she is getting married on the beach, she can wear a simple destination wedding gown. She will look fantastic and it’s age appropriate.
Congratulations!!!! yes! She can wear a wedding dress and I’m sure that she looks hot! 50 is the new 40 !!!!!
Good luck
i dont think she is too old at all.i woudnt suggest a big poofy wedding dress but a nice long white one could work.something like these:

Speaking as a woman turning 50 this year – your mother is not old!!!
Haven’t you heard 50 is the “new 30″! (lol)
It is a really special thing that a couple who have been married for many years are still happy enough with each other, and in love enough with each other to want to renew their wedding vows.
You are blessed to have parents like this – encourage your Mum to go for it!
Make sure she includes anything else she missed out on – maybe you could arrange a “hen’s night” for her!
She sounds like she deserves to fulfill the dreams of her youth and have the most “Weddingy” wedding dress available!
All the best to you all.
Nah shes not too old! 50 is the new 30 anyway, I dont see why anyone would see a problem with it.
she can wear whatever she wants keeping in mind it should be age appropriate. big foofy dresses are cut and styled a certain way because designers assume young women will be wearing them, so that won’t be flattering on someone who’s 50, no matter how slim she is.
HELL NO! I say wear it!
she’s definately not too old to wear a wedding dress, there will be a few styles that at her age might not be suitable like a big fairy princess dress obviously lol,, but there are so many styles now that there’s bound to be something she would look fab in,
I’m 55 and I got married again at age 53 so that’s close enough to your Mom’s age for me to give a contemporary’s opinion….
I would not wear an obvious big white wedding dress complete with veil (tiara optional) however there are sooo many beautiful white formal and semi-formal dresses out there she has quite a lot of options if she wishes to wear white…
If I had chosen white (or cream/ivory, which is more flattering to older complexions that pure bright white) I would have ‘glammed in up’ a bit…….a cocktail dress, a beautiful sundress……..so many to choose from…..good luck.
BTW I wore a three piece (tank, long sleeved duster style jacket-very floaty, & pants) pants suit in lined chiffon with beading for sparkle on the jacket ……in deep cranberry/wine red…..why restrict yourself to white?
Good luck.
She is not too old to wear a wedding dress, especially if she never got a chance to wear one.
I went to a couple’s 25th Anniversary and it was the most gorgeous thing. The bride wore a wedding gown in silver satin.
I think you’re mom will look great in whichever color she chooses.
I think the ivory or cream sound great.
No she is not too old!! If she always wanted a white wedding, i think it would be loveley for her to wear a dress, she could get one that is really elegant. I think it would be a lovelly idea!! i wish her all the best.
I think she should wear white and look gorgeous but if she wants to wear ivory thats cool too.
I think anyone looks silly wearing a big poofy ballgown on the beach. But there are lots of beautiful white/ivory dresses that would be beautiful and appropriate for a beach ceremony – and of course she can wear whatever color she pleases.
I love this one, for example:

It comes in a long or cocktail-length style!
