Wedding Reception Venues

Wedding reception venues play a major role in any couple’s wedding. The wedding reception venue will continue the tone or mood of the wedding ceremony. However solemn the mood is at the ceremony, it should be matched by a festive look and feel of the reception. Wedding reception venues are limitless but established venues usually boast of special amenities to present a more unique wedding experience.
Below is a list of essential factors to consider when choosing a wedding reception venue:

Type of wedding-The theme or type of wedding should normally dictate where the wedding reception will be. Consider reception venue when the theme is a garden wedding, destination wedding, formal wedding, traditional or romantic wedding, whimsical or carnival wedding.

Season or weather-The season and weather should also be considered when planning and booking a wedding reception venue. Check whether the venue is secure and weather friendly enough. A winter wedding venue needs heating while an outdoor wedding venue will need a contingency venue in case it does rain. Garden venues are popular for garden weddings. Hotels and country clubs are popular formal wedding venues. Themed weddings are popularly held in unique venues like museums, libraries, art galleries, aquariums, orchidariums, theme parks and public parks.

Inclusions-It’s best to review and compare wedding venue and inclusion packages in order to receive the best value for money. It’s advisable to choose a formal sit-down package and inclusions in order to the couples’ set budget. It would be ideal to choose a wedding venue whose formal sit-down menus can be altered and added to depending on the couples’ budget.

Wedding reception venues are often challenging to promote due to the competition, particularly when competing with others in a wedding expo or trade show. An affordable but effective promotional campaign is the use of printed  materials. Examples of these include brochures, flyers, pocket folders, and catalogs. Printed materials are easy and convenient to order with the services of online printers. Researching on the Internet and getting referrals for printing and promotional services and products can also be very helpful. Online printers such as Uprinting for example, also maintains pages on social networking and media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

It is that time when you want to enjoy yourself thoroughly and look hot and happening at all events! It is better to be ready with all your designer dresses and plan your outfits before hand. If you want to look a tad bit more different and unique at a party then choose an animal print saree. This saree could be a great mix of beige, yellow and black. If you do not want to experiment too much and are looking for the right mix of traditional and party wear, then embroidered sarees indeed are the best option for you. The trend advises you to get sarees which have half net and half shimmer. The saree should be such that it has a heavy border. The pallu is designed with heavy embellishments, gota, resham or sequins as per your likings. When buying online sarees, you must be careful enough to be at well reputed places. You must view all the minute details like color, designs, work done, material, blouse material etc. before placing the full and final order.

If you are looking for traditional bridal sarees for a winter wedding then you could easily go in for a red, green or gold saree with heavy work, matching accessories. However if you want to add some blend to your look then choose a lehenga style saree. You could have the wedding lehengas in shades like turquoise blue or wine purple with delicate resham or zari work. Embroidered sarees look fabulous on ladies of all generations! The embroidered sarees in rich pink with a matching silver halter neck blouse will make you look ravishing and young at any party. A must have for a modern woman’s wardrobe is a multi colored georgette saree. It indeed looks fabulous if your designer uses just the right shades to make it for you. You can use self work in zari for the sarees base and for a brighter look go in for sequins work on the pleats. It will dazzle every time you take a step ahead!

A saree, without matching woman accessories is totally incomplete. You would be making a fashion faux pas if you do not combine it with just the correct jewelry, clutch bags, slippers etc. So make sure that next time you buy your online sarees, you simultaneously check out for online jewelries and other fashion women accessories. Last but not the least a very special advice for the young ladies of today. Winter Honeymoon Destinations

Though most people imagine their wedding as something that happens in spring or summer, a winter wedding can be just as beautiful.  But of course, with winter weddings come winter honeymoon destinations, and the advent of colder weather and snow means needing to get creative about your winter honeymoon destinations.  However, whether you work to find somewhere that still has great weather in the winter or find a destination that you can enjoy in the snow, there are plenty of great winter honeymoon destinations out there.  Here are a few:

Some winter honeymoon destinations like Venice, Italy, make for a beautiful honeymoon any time of year, but the advantage of a winter honeymoon there is that you beat the crowds and the higher prices you’d see during the busy season.  Best of all, Venice only gets snow on a few days a year, so you’ll still be able to enjoy a romantic ride along the canals without getting buried in white powder.

If you don’t mind truly cold weather, then try some winter honeymoon destinations that use the cold as an attraction.  For instance, every year in Quebec, an ice hotel is erected for guests that want a truly unique stay in a cold destination.  With a movie theater and a chapel for those looking to also hold their wedding in the cold, this ice hotel is a chilly way to start off your new life with your spouse! Another great way to enjoy cold winter honeymoon destinations is with a cruise.  Cold-weather cruises can be an experience as unique as their counterparts from warmer waters.  Take a flight to Alaska and enjoy a winter cruise where you can watch stunning icebergs and glaciers, and enjoy your honeymoon in a nontraditional way.

Still, some people want winter honeymoon destinations that are warmer, and it’s understandable!  A break from the cold and snow is a great way to spend a honeymoon.  For such a trip, Hawaii is a great destination, any time of year.  With an average winter temperature of around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the tropics make a great place for you to celebrate a new marriage and to soak up a little sun while your home is still under snow.  So, give the sun and sand a go for your honeymoon!  So whether your destination is somewhere romantic, somewhere extra cold, or whether you go for warm waters, keep an open mind and plan a great winter honeymoon.

Wonderful Winter Theme Weddings

Who says that the wedding of your dreams requires a sleeveless dress and air-conditioning? A beautiful winter theme wedding can be breath-taking, cozy, and come with a lot of financial benefits! What are you waiting for? Start planning your wonderful winter-themed wedding!

When selecting decorations, choose décor that is ‘warm’ and inviting for your guests. Colors play a very important role in a winter wedding. In order to pull off a successful wedding with a comfortable appeal, steer clear of bright colors that are ‘summery.’ Try warm tones.

Colors like purple, terra-cotta, forest-green, ruby, and navy look excellent with the glow of candlelight. They can add a special ambiance and warmth to any reception site. Winter weddings provide the perfect opportunity to have an ‘elegant’ wedding with such rich colors.

Accessories are just as important as color if you’ve selected ‘winter’ as your wedding theme. Centerpieces can come in the form of frosted glass bowls filled with cinnamon scented pine-cones. Glittery snow-flakes can be hung from the ceiling. Holly-branches with berries can also add a lavish touch to your decorations.

Instead of ‘summery’ plants, poinsettias, roses, lilies and red ribbons can cover the place of reception. Unfortunately, sprint/summer bouquets may not be readily available from your local florist, so any other flowers (other than those mentioned) can be costly during the winter months.

Still looking for a place to hold your wonderful winter themed wedding? How about a bread and breakfast, or a quaint little cottage? Imagine your guests warming themselves in front of a toasty fire, smiling with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. A breath-taking view of a frozen pond and small friendly wildlife will add just the right touch of relaxation. While snow-covered landscapes may not sound appealing to everyone- think of how fun a sleigh ride and an afternoon of skiing can be.

Worried about what wedding favors to give as a token from your winter themed wedding? Spiced teas, scented candles, personalized mugs, Christmas ornaments with the wedding date imprinted upon them, personalized snow globes with a photograph inside, there are so many items to choose from!

Instead of having a ordinary catered meal, try creating a unique dinner menu. As everyone from your family to share a traditional family recipe, submit some of these recipes to your caterer and have a wonderful meal that everyone will enjoy! The idea is let everyone have some (possibly, well-needed) R&R as they celebrate your festivities.

Cool Winter Days Let Flowers Show Off

Copyright (c) 2010 Nadine Davis

Many brides, looking to avoid the havoc hot weather creates when planning a wedding, prefer the cooler days of winter for the occasion. They look to Flowers to brighten the event by using the loveliest of winter blooms for their bouquets, button-holes and table centres.

Winters in Brisbane are generally fairly mild, especially for a day-time wedding, with cold nights and early mornings warming to glorious sunshine, and normally fine weather. Without the threat of the wedding flowers wilting in summer heat and humidity, the bride can consider quite a large range of different types of flowers to mark the occasion.

To avoid putting together unrelated floral species that might clash, first choose a theme for the wedding. Here are some suggestions:

> A formal, traditional occasion with a church service, then a reception at an elegant and expensive venue, or

> A park or other outdoor setting with a celebrant and a small wedding party, then a venue with a simple meal and a boisterous celebration or

> A garden wedding at a private home – still classy but low key, followed by cocktails and finger food.

Each of these choices will fit better with a specific type of flower or flowers, starting from the bridal parties bouquets right through to the table flowers at the reception. It would look completely out of place, for example, to have elegant orchids as the dominant floral decoration for a park wedding followed by a loud gathering at the local club, so the choice of flowers becomes important.

For formal occasions, consider the following types of flowers:

> Camellias, Carnations, Dahlias, Hydrangeas (rather large for bouquets but stunning as table decorations), Cymbidium Orchids, Roses, Tulips and several different types of Lilies.

Informal occasions would suit these flowers:

> Freesias, Gerberas, Jasmine, Jonquils, Poppies, Stocks, Sweet Peas and Violets.

Whilst there are a large number of other choices for consideration, these flowers can start the mind thinking and due diligence should always include a little research into flowers and their appropriateness for use in your wedding. Winter will also deliver different species of foliage to provide the contrast needed to show off the flowers to their best advantage. There should be many types of native grasses, ferns etc. available which may be a little more unusual than normally seen.

Australian Natives should also be included in the decision-making pool, as winter is the season that they are seen at their best. The sheer variety of wattle, for example, that is in flower at this time of year will give plenty of food for thought, and there are dozens of other native species that in summer, don’t rate a second look but in winter are just spectacular.

Florists can provide wedding planners and brides alike with advice and information about the different types of flowers available in winter, and their suitability for different styles of weddings. They can also assist with bouquets, corsages, button-holes, and flowers for the ceremony itself, to create a beautiful winter wedding that guests will remember for years afterward.

It can be disheartening for a to have organised and paid for beautiful Flowers Brisbane for your big day, only to find them wilting in the heat and humidity of a summer day. Winter weddings can solve this problem, and give winter flowers from an opportunity to show themselves in all their beauty. Ask Florist Brisbane Flowers on Oxford for more info.
