Wedding Cake?? how to’s answers needed!!?
Last July we started out in cake making, originally in birthday’s, anniversaries, christenings, etc etc Novelty being the word! we have since been asked to do wedding cakes and pulled them off no problem…but here’s my problem…MY own wedding cake!!!
I have decided to make my own, simply because i know what i want and how i want it so why not.
I’m thinking of a 4 tier cake
1st tier – 12″ round fruit cake
2nd tier – 10″ round fruit cake
3rd tier – 8 ” round Jam and Buttercream Sponge
4th Tier – 6″ Lemon and Lemon filling Sponge
something like this but white cake with pale pale pink flowers

my 3 options are
- Transport the cakes as white round iced cakes, get them on the table, layer them up as i go, add all the ribbon to their edges then add on all the flowers by hand.
- Make the Cakes up in 2 batches of 2, the 12 inch and 10 inch stacked plain cakes, then the 8 and the 6 stacked plain cakes, then build up, attatch ribbon and stick on flowers
- Make the cake complete, all the white stacked cakes 4 tiers, with the ribbon, and attatch flowers when i have the cake on the table
My original plan was to complete the cake and try and get it there all together, but im wondering whether i may be asking too much? with all the flowers on it??? Im really unsure of the best way to do this now????!!!
any other ideas on this?
