Black men in relationship with Indian women?

Just an encouraging word to all those black men out there who believe its nearly impossible to have, and develop, a lasting relationship with a (British born) Indian woman, its not. I’m in one, and we will soon be getting married. And yes, her parents even accept me (although her father openly admits it is only due to his desire to see his daughter happy, but I still have his blessing). Now I know not all Indian girls hate black men, but I wouldn’t lie by saying it’s a very common thing to be in such a mixed race relationship with a Indian (or Pakistani) woman either.

Yes, there are those that dislike or look down on black men (and the black race).
The reason I am lead to believe why some Indians are racist is because of their culture and religion (Hinduism promotes lightness while negates darkness as being positive as well). A lot of Indians (especially in India) look up to whiteness and think whiteness represent being more successful and attractive (thus the reason why the majority of Indians in Bollywood are pale looking). Ghandi also believed this and openly wrote/discusses that blacks were below the Indians and whites.

However, be encouraged, not all share such a view. No, I am not rich, highly educated, nor do I own lots of land or houses..But I have found if you are genuine in your intention (and not just after a ‘shag’ and move on)…And if you are polite, have standards (and show them in your life and in deed), demonstrate good family values, show a wiliness to accept and respect a different culture, be open and honest, and have a serious intention in your relationship, then (to the genuine woman) you have just as much chance as the average Indian (or Pakistan) man.
And guys, it is worth it. The woman I’m with is respectful, faithful, very much into traditional family values, cooks and enjoys cooking, and loves the attention and pampering I give back in return. If you got something good, you want to look after it…especially in today’s age. So guy (black and white), go for it.

But on question….how do I prepare for a Hindu wedding?

Showcasing Works Old and New, the Paul Taylor Dance Company Triumphs at City Center
The tremendous achievement of the Paul Taylor season that just ended was the revival of his 1966 masterpiece Orbs . It must be his longest work–it’s in two parts, split by an intermission–and it’s been revived only once before, in 1982. This is a magisterial piece–an astounding summing-up by a choreographer barely in his mid-30s, set to his most daring choice of music: the late Beethoven …
