This piece is the first track off of Liz Story’s very popular “Solid Colors.” I played this at a wedding last year as part of the prelude. When I made my decision to prepare this, because at the time I did not know the piece, I questioned whether or not I should be playing a piece that had the words “wedding” and “rain” – 2 things that should not go together. However, it could not have been more appropriate as there were torrential downpours on the day of this early October wedding. I told the father of the bride that this song was responsible for the rain and he jokingly replied, “Laura, I’m glad you didn’t play a piece called Wedding Snow.”

In the great Griswold style, Clark, being the father of the bride, is pulling out all the stops for the wedding of his little girl. With a week to go before the big day, Clark, along with his Boss, Mr. Frank Shirley (Brian Doyle-Murray) who just so happens to be the father of the groom to be, is forced into early retirement. Let the hilarity begin!
